The Idaho Writers Guild offers networking, employment, and educational opportunities as diverse as the writers who join. In addition to serving as a networking resource for writers wishing to become actively involved in the writing community, the organization provides a collective voice to assist The Cabin (formerly the Log Cabin Literary Center) in planning and developing programs to aid writers.

Founder of Christian Action Adventures T.A. Smith has been a non-denominational Bible teacher in maximum security prisons, juvenile delinquent centers, rescue missions, and youth groups for over 15 years. He has taken his message from the Yucatan to fisheries in Alaska. As a "guys study teacher," he searched for a hard-hitting action adventure series that actually included thoughts and discussion about God. He wanted real conversations that he’d heard men and boys talk about in his classes over the years. Finally, he simply sat down and started writing stories for the guys he knew - and they asked for more.
